Sun Observations

Sunrise in the East, sunset in the West - Level 7 quality evidence - Objective measurements I observed that the sun appears raising over the easternly horizon in the morning and setting over the westerly horizon in the evening. Goal: be in agreement this is true. Next steps: compare to models of flat and sphere earth.

Setting Sun Experiment - Experiment: Level 7 quality evidence - Objective measurements I have observed the sun setting over the ocean. It sinks down below and doesn’t shrink into the distance. Goal: be in agreement this is true. Next steps: compare to models of flat and sphere earth.

Experiment: Level 5 quality evidence - Objective measurements I observed the sun at different times of day. Extending my arm all the way, I tried to cover it with my thumb. Squinting, I could see a tiny portion of it on each side which was the same size at different times. Conclusion: The Sun stays the same size when at different angles in the sky. Conclusion 2: repeated for the moon. I found them both to stay the same size regardless to angle in the sky. Goal: be in agreement this is true. Next steps: compare to models of flat and sphere earth.
